FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
The Friends of the Fort Frances Public Library is a registered charitable organization whose aim is to make the Fort Frances Public Library the best that it can be. The Year 2000 was particularly exciting as the Friends was chosen by the local Canada Safeway for its Charity Challenge, raising over $30,000 in one year!

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month, except during July and August. New members are always welcome.
EVENTS
The Friends of the Library have six annual events to raise money for projects beyond the scope of regular funding sources:
- A Love Your Library Draw (usually for a trip) - February 14
- Love Your Library Valentine’s Day Bake sale
- Gigantic Book sale - held annually on the last Saturday in May
- Teddy Bear’s Picnic
- Tag Day – June
- Gala Event – late November or early December
