Forest of Reading® Award Progam

There are seven awards programs in the Forest of Reading®, a project of the Ontario Library Association, each planned for a different age group—Kindergarten through to High School.

With the generosity of The Friends of the Library the Library has purchased copies of all titles.

This is how the program works.  Children and youth across Ontario read from a list of ten Canadian titles nominated in the category that corresponds to their age.  Readers must read a minimum of five books to be eligible to vote.  Then, they vote for their favourite book in late April.  In this way, children will participate in selecting the winners for the 2014 Award.
